Teaching
Preschool Family Program
In helping to reimagine Isaac M. Wise Temple’s family program, I wrote this lesson plan for a preschool family program. This program helps families and kids answer the question, “What does it mean to be a mensch?”
Teen Social Justice Program
At Isaac M. Wise Temple, 7th and 8th graders choose which electives to participate in. I created a Jewish social justice curriculum for teens on the cusp of becoming b’nei mitzvah. This text sheet was used during our discussion of Isaiah 58.
Weekly Torah Study
During my fourth and fifth years of rabbinical school, I served as the rabbinic intern at Congregation Beth Tikvah in Worthington, Ohio. At Beth Tikvah, a group meets weekly for regular Torah study. This text sheet is from our study of Parshat Tzav, from Leviticus.
Adult Ed: Mussar Musings
When we moved to virtual t’fillah and programming last March, we looked for ways to stay engaged as a community. I taught a mini-series on ‘Mussar for Pandemic Times.’ One of the sessions focused on the middah (value) of silence.
